Wet-look sealers create a glossy, richer color that looks freshly rained on, while natural-look sealers protect your pavers while keeping their original matte appearance. Both options provide the same protection against stains, fading and weed growth — we're happy to show you samples before you decide.
The process typically takes 2-3 days — cleaning and stain treatment on day one, then 24-48 hours to dry before we apply sand and sealer. You can walk on sealed pavers after 24 hours and drive on them after 48-72 hours.
That chalky white look is efflorescence, caused by mineral salts rising to the surface — it's common, especially on newer pavers. We clean it off before sealing, and the sealer creates a barrier that limits it from returning and restores your pavers' color.
Sand keeps your paver system stable and is a regular part of paver maintenance. Our sealer locks the sand in place, which helps prevent weed and mold growth between joints and enhances the overall appearance of your paver system.
Sealed pavers just need a sweep and occasional light cleaning/rinse — most quality sealers last 3-5 years in Florida's climate. We'll let you know the signs it's time to reseal, like fading and water no longer beading on the surface.
You don't need to be home for the service itself, though we do ask that someone is available for a quick walkthrough before we get started. We'll handle the rest and let you know when we're done.
